Who We Are

EDSN is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association of local village Shared Interest Community groups (SICs).   The association empowers people with technology to think for themselves in becoming better neighbors toward maintaining peace in safe and sustainable environments for ALL human flourishing.

We are an Education for Development and Support Network of SICs (EDSN).   EDSN enables long-term SIC partnerships with, private, academic, and government sectors to maximize net privileges technology offers for more agile and sustainable local neighborhood and village developments.   Our PlexLearning partnerships helps to bridge gaps between formal education, informal learning, meaningful careers, and purposeful lives.   These gaps include, but not limited to, entrepreneurial philanthropy, continuous self-evaluation, and meaningful community engagements toward quality-of-life development.

We are managers of neighborhood trusted spaces for PlexLearning programs.   Our programs involve deeply collaborative dialogues, proximal learning, and cost-sharing for improved retention and success across academic, career, and entrepreneurship domains.   We are developers of welcoming, open-source, and career-scaffolding program curriculums.   These curriculums integrate participants’ experiences, self-evaluations, motivation, neighborhood journalism, and entrepreneurial ambitions in affirming ways for managing predatory agency, financial entrapment, marginalization, hostile prejudices, inept leadership, and chronic hopelessness whether self-impose or otherwise.

We are enablers of access to technologies and privileges they afford.   Our neighborhood technology centers offer programs that enable a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement.   Our programs are built around showcasing entrepreneurship principles and technical competencies with high-quality computer technology applications.   People at different stages of life, career, and vocation are welcomed and affirmed to stay relevant, hopeful, and purposefully engaged with their local neighborhood communities.

We PlexLearning architects.   Data from our programs are used for PlexLearning research and development.   PlexLearning is a technology afforded education (creation, conveyance, and use of knowledge) framework for lifestyles based in proximal learning, continuous improvements, and motivation to solve personal and local neighborhood development problems. The PlexLearning framework is a hybrid of machine learning and education methodologies that marshal personal knowledge artifacts as authorized actors on behalf of their principals (learners).   PlexLearning component methods, delivery systems, analytics processes and tools are collectively called PlexLearning education.

We are stewards of local neighborhood collective memory and ambitions.   We enable local village groups to coalesce around PlexLearning education, entrepreneurial philanthropy, capacity building, effective governance, neighborhood journalism, cost sharing and other important development issues not available if groups were working separately.   For example, access to appropriate: marketing; purchasing; technology; research; finance; social agency; proximal learning and professional resources.
